Those who are just starting out with their online casino experience can easily be overwhelmed by the complex craps table and the number of betting options. Thankfully, it is actually quite easy to learn the layout of the table and the different betting options. Craps is basically a game of rounds. Every game has just two rounds. The first round is known as the Come Out round and the second is known as the Point round.
The most difficult thing for those new to craps to learn is not the rules, but rather the terms involved in the game. The scariest factor for beginners aside from approaching the confusing table is the fact that the players crowded around the table seem to be speaking a foreign language with all the unusual words being passed around. This is why it is important for craps beginners to learn the terms involved in craps after you learn the basic rules so you understand and speak the language involved in playing craps.
In the two rounds of a craps game there is only one type of bet. The objective of the Come Out round is for the person throwing the dice, known as the shooter, to roll either a seven or an eleven. If these numbers are rolled in the first round it is an automatic win. If a two, three or twelve is rolled on the first round then it is an automatic loss. Therefore, the numbers two, three and twelve are known as craps. If any other number is rolled during this first round then it will become the Point and the game moves into the second round. These numbers are 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10.
During the Point round the objective is for the shooter to get a point number before they roll a seven. Sometimes the Point round can last for awhile because it will go until the shooter rolls either the point or a seven.
During the Come Out round players can put their wagers on the Pass Line or the Don't Pass Line. If you put your money on the Pass Line, you are making a 'right' bet since you are placing your wager on the fact that the shooter is going to roll a seven or eleven. If you place your money on the Don't Pass Line, you are making a 'wrong' bet since you are placing your wager on the fact that the shooter is going to crap out with a two, three or twelve. This is the basic bet involved in craps.
Once you have learned the betting rules, the terms and the etiquette involved in craps you can start joining a game. You will soon find out why craps is known as the most exciting casino game in the world. Once you are familiar with the game and you know how to play craps online you can take the time to learn some of the more advanced better options and work on improving your strategy. However, make sure you start slow since you can lower your good odds if you are placing many bets on the table and losing track of them.
